Hey Reader! Holy Saturday is a day of waiting and resting (see Verse of Week below). If you're anything like me, it's not restful, but a busy day of preparation. Take some time today and tomorrow to read one or more of the blog posts below to meditate on:
You'll be blessed, and it'll help you share more with your kids and answer their questions about this Holy Week. Be blessed! Keeley PS. “55 The women who had come with him from Galilee followed, and they saw the tomb and how his body was laid. 56 Then they returned and prepared spices and ointments. On the Sabbath they rested according to the commandment.” - Luke 23:55-56 (NRSV)
After Jesus was buried, they rested a day. They don't yet know that he will rise, but they rested a day, according to the commandment, and then went back the following day to anoint him with the spices they had prepared the day before the Sabbath. In what ways do you have to wait on God before you can get back to doing what you were doing? How does God speak to us on this Holy Saturday, the day of waiting? Remember, they didn't understand, and therefore didn't know that Jesus was going to rise from the dead tomorrow. Let's sit today and think about what it must have been like for the disciples to have seen their messiah crucified and dead, and then to mourn and wait. Wait to anoint him with burial spices. Sit as if you don't know the resurrection is coming either. How does that change the way you experience that glorious news tomorrow? Hey Reader! Oh my goodness. I can't wait to share these life-changing scriptures for feeling and getting more peace in your life! It's perfect for you if you're feeling a bit weary, like I am right now. I'm over-tired, over-busy, over the end of school, and I just want a moment of peace. But I really want peace that lasts and not just for a quick scroll on my phone or a bar of chocolate. This past Thursday celebrated the day that Jesus ascended into heaven, and it really is mind-blowing what...

Hey Reader! I used to get annoyed that I had to do everything to try and help our kids grow spiritually. If we were going to pray at a meal with our kids, I had to suggest it. If we were going to talk about how to raise our kids to know Jesus, I had to initiate the conversation. If we were going to read scripture together, I had to start it and do the reading. I was really frustrated, as I wanted my husband/the pastor to be the spiritual leader of our family. But in that season, I knew that...
