Hey Reader!
\n
\nI’ll admit it, it’s hard for me to find time for God. Really, it’s hard for me to make time for God.
\n
\nI know I have to make it a priority, but I feel like I’m barely making it through most days. (Of course, I know I’d make it better through most days if I made time for God.)
\n
\nSo why don’t I find time for God?
\n
\nGood question...
\n
\nDo you want to hear all my excuses?? Probably not. 😂
\n
\nIf you’re anything like me, you’re busy. There are meals to prepare and make, schedules to coordinate, carpools to drive, homework to help with, faces that need cleaning, toys and clothes that need picking up... the list could go on and on.
\n
\nWe’re all busy. We have a lot of demands on our time and attention.
\n
\nSometimes I forget what I’m doing (or why) right in the middle of doing it. Yikes!
\n
\nBut rather than staying stuck in this overwhelmed feeling, I take the season of Lent to remind myself to make some time for God.
\n
\nIt's hard and I have to be intentional about it, but Lent can also be a little bit like \"New Years\" when we start over with a clean slate and try and do something that we've been meaning to do for a while. It's a new start.

“Help, LORD, for the godly are no more;
the faithful have vanished from among men.
Everyone lies to his neighbor;
their flattering lips speak with deception.”
